Overview

Our half day infection control course gives participants knowledge on how to prevent and control the risk of infection. It will enable learners to provide a safe, clean environment within the workplace. All staff working within a care environment at all levels should receive infection control training.

  • Hand washing techniques
  • Use of PPE with correct removal and disposal
  • Treatment and Disposal of Clinical Waste
  • Treatment and disposal of Soiled Laundry
  • Hazardous Clinical Waste
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities in the prevention and control of infection
  • Understand the legislation and policies relating to the prevention and control of infections
  • Understand systems and procedures relating to the prevention and control of infection
  • Understand the importance of risk assessment in relation to the prevention and control of infections
  • Understand the importance of good personal hygiene in the prevention and control of infections
  • Safeguarding Service users from Infection
